Exposome is environmental and occupational exposure starting from the fertilized egg and continuing throughout life, including lifestyle and other factors. Exposure sources include exogenous (pollution, radiation, diet, etc.) and endogenous (inflammation, infection, microorganisms,etc.),包括暴露在化学、物理、biological, and other stressors.

Exposomics is concerned with the measurement of all exposures over an individual's lifetime and how these exposures are linked to disease. The study of exposomics relies on technical tools from other disciplines, such as genomics, proteomics, lipidomics, glycomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, adductomics,etc.

Creative Proteomics is equipped with highly sensitive and high throughput mass spectrometry systems to provide qualitative and quantitative detection of compounds in exposomics research, accelerating the progress of related research.

What We Can Provide:

There are currently two research strategies for exposomics studies:

Bottom-up strategy: Analyze external exposures and develop interventions and prevention measures. Focus on each type of exogenous exposure (air, water, diet, radiation, lifestyle, etc.) and quantify the intensity of each type of exogenous exposure. Estimating individual exposure levels in a summative manner, testing for differences in exposure between disease and control groups, and looking to identify sources of exogenous exposure that affect disease.

Top-down strategy: Determine the types and levels of all exogenous compounds in biological samples such as blood or urine from diseased and healthy populations, identify all exposure factors in the body, analyze the relationship with disease, and identify the harmful factors that cause health damage. In particular, the determination of chemicals in human biological materials is considered the gold standard for evaluating the level of exposed contaminants. The method makes it possible to identify chemicals of priority concern among thousands of chemical contaminants, to suggest factors to be controlled as a priority, and to determine the total dose level for multi-pathway exposures.
